Club Hockey

Founded in 2009 by T.J. O’Malley, Elon Club Hockey began with former roller hockey players competing locally under the name “NOLE” before becoming an official club sport in 2010 and playing its first ACHA game in 2011. The program quickly gained momentum, highlighted by a second-place finish in the 2012 Bill J. Hart Memorial Tournament. Now based at the Orange County Sportsplex and led by an experienced coaching staff, the team continues to grow, most recently achieving one of its best seasons in 2025–26 with an 8–3–1 record, a strong playoff run, and a historic semifinal appearance at the AAU D2 National Tournament.

Recent Successes

Finished 4th in ACCHL D2 Elite and came in as the 4th seed for ACCHL D2 Elite Playoffs. Finished 4th in AAU D2 nationals coming in as the #12 seed knocking out #5 Delaware, #6 SUNY Cortland, and #7 University of Maine to send us to the semi-finals and are the first team in 31 years to make it to the semifinals as the last place team.

Dues

  • $2,500 for full time player
  • $1,250 for goalies/study abroad students
  • $700 for practice squad players

Practice and Tournament Dates

Practices will be held 2 times a week – time: TBD

Games are typically set for the weekends each month.

ACHA MD2, AAU MD2, ACCHL D2 Elite; Compete against UNC (D1), UNCC, UNCW, Duke, ECU, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Richmond
