The Alamance County Arts Council will present a joint choral concert by the Council’s member groups at 8 p.m., Thursday, April 27 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center of the Arts on the ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë campus. The concert, which will present the Burlington Boys Choir, The Alamance Girls Choir, The Alamance Chorale and the ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë Chorale and Camerata, is free and open to the public. Each vocal group will perform separately and then join together to sing “The Promise of Living” from The Tender Land, by Aaron Copeland.
The ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë Camerata, with its emphasis on vocal technique, striving for artistry, style and score study, performance practice and diversity of literature, studies and performs literature from all stylistic periods and cultures. The ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë Chorale is open to all ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë students and performs a variety of music that includes cultivated music and masterworks of the chorale/orchestral repertoire.
