ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë School of Law moves to holiday hours starting Dec. 18 and will be on an abbreviated schedule through Jan. 3, 2009.

Steven D. House, dean of Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences, and associate vice president for academic affairs, has been named provost and vice president for academic affairs at ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë. His appointment by President Leo M. Lambert comes after a four-month national search.

The LSM Society raised $10,000 this fall by managing concessions for a PGA event in Cary, N.C., and by hosting a wheelchair basketball tournament.

John G. Sullivan, Powell Professor of Philosophy Emeritus, has contributed an essay “Contemplative Practice in Cross-Cultural Times”, as chapter 5, in the collection Revisiting Mysticism, eds. Chandana Chakrabarti and Gordon Haist.
