There will be a university Memorial Service for Milena Alvarez at Holt Chapel on Tuesday, April 21, at 4:30 p.m. Milena was a freshman from Winston-Salem, N.C., who died earlier this month after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jeremy Gates had one thing in mind: Learn to walk. Again. A July 2006 car wreck left the Burlington man in a coma for three months, but by the next summer, once he had met faculty and students in ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë's doctor of physical therapy program, reaching that goal didn't look so impossible.
