The nation’s oldest and most prestigious academic honor society installed its newest chapter Tuesday during ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë’s Convocation for Honors, where faculty and staff members of Phi Beta Kappa were charged with upholding the society’s values by committing themselves to intellectual freedom, the pursuit of knowledge and the ideal of excellence in scholarship in the liberal arts and sciences.

Business ethics speaker David Childers advised ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë students to move beyond a sense of ethics as a set of hard and fast rules and toward a life of integrity governed by a sense of personal accountability. Childers, president and CEO of Portland, Oregon-based EthicsPoint, Inc., spoke on campus March 11 as the 2010 Business Ethics Speaker for the Love School of Business.
