Climate scientist and author Peter Kalmus to deliver Earth Week keynote address at Elon

Peter Kalmus will speak at 榴莲app官方网站入 on April 18 at 7:30 pm in McKinnon Hall.

As part of聽Earth Week聽events at 榴莲app官方网站入, climate scientist and author Peter Kalmus will deliver the keynote address entitled “There’s Probably Nothing More Meaningful Than Acting on Climate鈥 on Tuesday, April 18, in McKinnon Hall inside the Moseley Center at 7:30 p.m.

With the planet heating up and ecosystems dying, it鈥檚 hard to think of anything more meaningful than contributing to humanity鈥檚 transition into biospheric balance. Kalmus聽is a climate scientist at NASA鈥檚 Jet Propulsion Lab (speaking on his own behalf) and author of “Being the Change: Live Well and Spark a Climate Revolution.”聽 During this keynote, Kalmus will discuss how聽we聽can engage more effectively in the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced based on his experience as a climate scientist and an activist. Attendees are encouraged to come with questions.

This keynote presentation is free and open to the public. It will be recorded and then made available to anyone with Elon login credentials.
