����app�ٷ���վ��’s sales program in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business has been named a “Top University Sales Program for 2011” by the Sales Education Foundation, a component of The Dayton Foundation nonprofit established to promote university level educational programs in sales through the provision of scholarships, the creation of educational materials and other methods.

����app�ٷ���վ�� seniors Meg Anderson and Charley Costa won top honors last weekend at the 2010 Russ Berrie Institute National Sales Challenge at William Paterson University in New Jersey. Their achievements marked the second time in a month that students from the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business finished first in a national competition that attracted teams from some of the nation's leading business programs.

Earl Honeycutt, a professor of marketing at ����app�ٷ���վ�� since 2002, has been named the first Martha and Spencer Love Term Professor, an honor established by a gift from the Martha and Spencer Love Foundation that was announced during the business school’s 25th anniversary gala in February.

Ron Klepcyk, director of human resources at ����app�ٷ���վ��, has been honored by the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources with its 2011 Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his work with the association through constituent activities, such as governance or leadership roles, and through professional development contributions in support of the association.

Gary Palin, a senior lecturer and executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, is one of seven individuals in a joint entrepreneurial venture that has raised more than $2.4 million from investors with interest in the company’s GPS technology to track people and pets.

Robert H. Moorman joins ����app�ٷ���վ��’s faculty this month as the Frank S. Holt, Jr., Professor of Business Leadership in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business. Named in honor of the former president of Holt Manufacturing Co. in Burlington, N.C., the professorship honors the vision, leadership and compassion that were trademarks of Frank Holt’s career.

����app�ٷ���վ��’s three newest residence halls open this fall with hundreds of students scheduled to move into earth-friendly buildings designed to blend academic and extracurricular life. The debut of Colonnades C, D and E – now named Kivette Hall, William W. Staley Hall and William A. Harper Hall, respectively – represents the completion of The Colonnades neighborhood adjacent to the Koury Business Center.

����app�ٷ���վ�� hosted its 8th annual Teaching and Learning Conference this month as more than 250 faculty, program directors and administrators from 34 area colleges and universities examined student learning and faculty roles in creating active and engaged learning environments, as well as the technologies that support these environments.

����app�ٷ���վ��’s campus bookstore opened for business Monday morning in the Elon Town Center on Williamson Avenue with students, faculty, staff and local citizens visiting a shop offering an expanded selection of college apparel, general interest books and school supplies.
