On Wednesday, April 17, African and African-American Studies at ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë has the pleasure of hosting Carolyn Beard Whitlow, writer, poet, and professor at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. She will discuss her work in "When the Wind Stills," and other publications.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "Letter from Birmingham Jail," a reading featuring faculty, staff and students will occur at College Coffee on April 16th. ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë is one of many schools participating in this worldwide anniversary event.
