The School of Communications professor shared the first part of a co-authored study that analyzes communications efforts of the United States, Mexico and Canada targeted to their diaspora communities in the other two countries.

Seventy-five high school seniors interested in studying communications visited ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë during Fellows Weekend, held March 4-5, 2016. Following a competitive selection process, 25 students will be named 2016 Communications Fellows.

The School of Communications lecturer co-authored a peer-reviewed proposal and participated in a panel discussion at the organization’s midwinter conference.

Katie Zach ’04 and Leanne High ’07 visited campus to talk about their past experiences and current roles working in the public relations field, giving students insight into the professional world.

Six faculty members and nine students traveled to Research Triangle Park on March 1 to participate in the public television network’s spring fundraising effort, raising more than $16,000 in donations. 

For the second consecutive year, students studying in the ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë in LA program got an inside look at the festivities leading up to the Academy Awards, the film industry’s biggest night of the year.

ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë’s student-run strategic communications agency captured two student awards at the Triangle AdFed’s 2016 American Advertising Awards Gala. The event was held on Feb. 18 in downtown Durham.
