The former Elon football All-American running back is one of three 2016 class members who are a part of the Legends Class that was created in 2010 for posthumous induction.

The Phoenix took the CAA title on May 7, with the conference meet held on campus at the Jerry and Jeanne Robertson Track and Field Complex.

ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë Trustee Cecil Worsley ’86 P’14 and his wife, JoAnna ’87 P’14, will match all gifts to Elon Athletics up to $50,000 if 500 new donors are secured by May 13.

As Miles Williams ’15 co-captained the Elon Phoenix football team over the past year, he was also conducting undergraduate research just a few miles away on the way hip hop music might help African-American children develop self-confidence and a sense of self.

The former Elon women’s basketball standout with a distinguished career in collegiate and professional coaching will join eight other North Carolina sports figures to be formally enshrined during a May induction banquet.

The human service studies major from South Carolina excelled in the classroom and on the field this fall for the Elon Phoenix football team, earning him honors from the Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association. 

A team visit to the Central American nation last spring inspired "Costa Rica Through the Lens: Reflections From ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë Women’s Soccer" with contributions from players, coaches and staff.
