Astronomy professors awarded $14,500 of computing resources from NSF-funded program to peform galaxy simulations and analysis.

Fuller, associate dean of Admission and director of International Admissions, will participate in the fifth annual EducationUSA Forum in Washington D.C. from June 23-25, 2014 on behalf of ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë.

ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë’s vice president emerita received a top North Carolina honor conferred by Gov. Pat McCrory and presented by State Sen. Rick Gunn and ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë President Leo M. Lambert.

A literacy program created by Associate Professor Jean Rattigan-Rohr received $2,500 to help purchase new books for young children tutored by ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë education majors.

The Interfaith Youth Core awarded $5,000 this spring to professors Jeffrey C. Pugh, Geoffrey D. Claussen and Amy L. Allocco to help in the development of an interfaith studies course sequence that might also serve as the precursor to a future minor in interfaith studies.

Thirty-one faculty and staff members have been awarded Writing Excellence Initiative grants for projects that will help students improve their writing and increase students’ abilities to learn through writing.

The School of Education held its year-end faculty and student awards ceremony on Thursday, May 8.
