ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë’s chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. organized students, faculty and staff Tuesday for a group portrait at College Coffee to raise awareness of police shootings and controversial law enforcement practices across the United States.

Volunteers needed to help at the Blessed Sacrament School after school program.  

A Wednesday program in McKinnon Hall will offer the campus community reflections from ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë faculty and a current student from Ferguson, Missouri, about the recent police shooting death there of a young unarmed black man.

The first ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë Poll of the fall semester will ask residents of North Carolina about their opinions on various social, economic and political issues.  

Kick-off service is at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 27. Time moves to 7 p.m. for all other services in the Sacred Space, Numen Lumen Pavilion.

A tradition at Elon that features more than 800 students competing in six events to win the utlimate crown, SportsFest requires teams to register with Campus Recreation no later than Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 5 p.m.
