Gabriela "Gabby" Szewcow '13 discovered a passion for media relations and used resources through the Student Professional Development Center, along with advice from faculty mentors, to land a job in New York City.

In ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë’s 2013 Baird Pulitzer Prize Lecture, author Taylor Branch reminds his audience that despite progress born from the civil rights movement, the American system of government and its democratic principles remain fragile.

The award includes a film set and $1,200 programming stipend to be used to provide scholarly presentations and exhibit four documentaries with new footage illustrating the history of civil rights in America.
