Attorney and author Corban Addison will shine a light on the intersection of food, race and money as he takes his audience behind the scenes of a landmark war in the courtroom that brought the once invincible pork industry to its knees. 

The home designed and built by students, one of six constructed in the EcoVillage at Loy Farm’s first phase, involved more than 60 students over the course of an academic year and yielded lessons students will carry into their futures.

Engagement with a local environmental advocacy group is positively associated with environmental science students’ expressions of environmental value and self-efficacy, according to a recent paper published in Environmental Education Research.

The projects and programs span disciplines and include opportunities for community engagement, cross-cultural dialogue and interaction with Elon alumni.

Four members of the Class of 2024 and one member of the Class of 2023 have been selected for the prestigious program that offers opportunities for recent graduates in more than 140 countries. Five have been selected as alternates.

The article shares findings from empirical research on insect communication that was conducted at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute at Barro Colorado Island in Panama. The work was done by collaborators from Dartmouth College, Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, Xuzhou Medical University, Cornell University, and ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë, and the article appears in the journal Integrative and Comparative Biology.

Dave Parker, Mike Kingston, Amanda Chunco and Ryan Brandt attended the academy's meeting at Winston-Salem State University on April 5-6.

The generous gift from Elon parents John and Kristin Replogle P’18 will name one of the homes in ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë new EcoVillage living-learning community, where students will learn and practice sustainable living principles.

Four female professionals, including Elon alumna Amber Smith ’14, will share advice and experience with ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë students from 6:30- 8 p.m. Wed., March 13, in McKinnon Hall.
