The annual Department of Physician Assistant Studies symposium focused on medical improvisation, design thinking and empathy. 

Elon’s Physician Assistant Studies program was well represented at the 2017 National Physician Assistant Education Association Forum held Oct. 25-28 in Denver, Colorado. 

The ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë DPT Class of 2017 will hold commencement ceremonies beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, in McCrary Theater in the Performing Arts Center.  A reception will follow.

The event will focus on ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë's Anatomical Gift Program and will be held in Asheboro, N.C.

Becky Neiduski, who joined Elon earlier this year as head of the School of Health Sciences, was honored earlier this month. 

In its third year, the fundraiser led by the Elon Physician Assistant Student Society supports the work of Open Door Clinic of Alamance County, which provides free health care to local residents that cannot afford to pay.

Elon PA Students participated in a service-learning project at Garrett Elementary School in Mebane, N.C., on Sept. 29, 2017. 

Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee, the author of "The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer," offered his insights to a crowd of nearly 600 gathered in McCrary Theatre on Sept. 20. 

Brooke Powell, a third-year student in Elon's Doctor of Physical Therapy program, offered advice to parents about how to reduce the likelihood their children's backpacks will cause back or posture problems. 

Three area lawmakers toured the program’s facilities in the Gerald L. Francis Center and learned more about the role these future providers play in the health care industry.
