ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë's Maurice Jennings Emerging Scholar will contribute insights and analyses to a legal blog that features a "variety of topics related to law and life."

Forty teams representing 24 law schools visited ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë School of Law for an April event that challenged students to deftly argue questions of First Amendment rights versus the role of government in protecting public health and safety.

ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë School of Law Associate Professor Enrique Armijo penned a column for North Carolina's largest newspapers in which he argues that state lawmakers passed an unconstitutional law this spring by limiting the rights of local towns and counties to create nondiscrimination ordinances. 

The legal pioneer and former presidential contender will join Elon Law Associate Professor David Levine, host of the "Hearsay Culture" radio program that Levine founded out of KZSU-FM at Stanford University, for an April 26 recorded "live" interview in Greensboro.

An accomplished legal scholar, Charles Geyh - the first speaker in the newly constituted Dean's Lecture Series at Elon Law - will propose a new way of looking at how the role of the American judiciary should be conceptualized and regulated. 

"There’s a better way to do this, and it starts with a redesigned curriculum grounded in the realities of being a modern lawyer."

The director of Elon Law's Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic visited Nairobi for presentations on March 22-23, 2016, focused on her educational work and advocacy efforts in the United States. 

Senior Associate Dean Alan Woodlief participated in the second annual Minority Pre-Law Conference in Durham, North Carolina on March 19.
