A company created by three ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë students as part of Elon's Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership has been selected as a finalist in a New Venture Creation Competition sponsored by the University of Evansville.

Academic and business leaders from around the region will host a three-part symposium next week on fair trade practices and work conditions in foreign countries that supply goods to the United States. The symposium culminates with a panel discussion on the North Carolina textile industry’s struggle to stay profitable as it follows fair trade practices.

Recent college graduates are brighter, more energetic and possess far greater technological abilities than their counterparts from previous generations, but according to the board chairman and former CEO of LabCorp, who spoke Feb. 12 with four business classes, students today need to improve their communication skills.
