From physics to performing arts, several new faculty members will teach, mentor, and conduct research beginning this academic year within Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences.

Clay Stevenson, associate teaching professor of music, created and mixed a 3.5-hour meditation soundscape in Atmos surround using ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë’s immersive audio suite, Studio D in Arts West. The project is now available on all major streaming platforms.

The students competed at the National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition held June 26-28 in Philadelphia.

An unprecedented number of ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë students were winners at the National Association of Teachers of Singing Mid-Atlantic Regional Vocal Competition, and 10 are advancing to the semi-finals which will be held June 26-29 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Elon Music Ambassadors instrumental and vocal ensemble, directed by Virginia Novine Whittaker, recently performed for high school audiences in the Richmond, Virginia area on April 24 and 25.

Innovative pianist and teacher Art Lande will perform and teach on campus April 22.

ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë's director of jazz studies will perform as soloist with ECU Jazz Ensemble on March 29 in Greenville, North Carolina.

Pianist Carmen Staaf drummer Alison Miller will headline the festival's Elon Jazz Day Concert on Saturday, Feb. 22, and lead masterclasses.
