With the support of Rotary International and this $30,000 grant, Miranda is currently earning her Master of Science in Global Health from National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan.

Eleven ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë seniors and alumni have been named semifinalists for The Fulbright U.S. Student Program: the largest educational exchange program in the world that offers research, study and teaching opportunities to recent graduates in more than 140 countries, with approximately 2,000 grants awarded annually in all fields of study.

Three members of the class of 2025 and one member of the class of 2020 have been selected for the prestigious program that offers opportunities to teach English, conduct research, or attend graduate school in more than 140 countries.

Two Elon alumni have been selected for the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program, and one senior has been named an honorable mention.

Karty is one of only 441 students to be awarded the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship out of an applicant pool of 5,000+.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities to recent graduates in more than 140 countries, with approximately 2,200 grants awarded annually in all fields of study.

Hinton is the fourth student to be selected from Elon for this honor in the past two years.

The Piedmont District 7690 Rotary Club only awards one Global Grant, but due to increased funding and the strength of ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë applicants, the Club was pleased to award grants this year to three Elon alumni.

Duque will spend six weeks this summer participating in programming at the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University.
