An ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë senior, an alumnus and a current staff member have each been selected for the NSF's Graduate Research Fellowship program, which will support their work toward graduate degrees in STEM fields. 

Maurice “Bear” Tosé II has been selected for the two-year paid fellowship that is awarded to an individual who demonstrates an interest in philanthropy, public policy, community service and the nonprofit sector. 

ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë is featured on the annual list of American master’s-level institutions whose graduates received Fulbright student awards for 2017-18. 

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study, and teaching opportunities to recent graduates in more than 140 countries, with approximately 1,900 grants awarded annually in all fields of study.

Greg Sutton '14, who majored in political science and international studies while at Elon, will travel to Indonesia as part of a federal program that builds goodwill between the United States and people of other nations. 

Josephine Gardner, a public health studies major from Maine, has received the Samuel Huntington Public Service Award to grow a nonprofit she founded to empower low-income women in Ethiopia. 

Bridgette Agbozo ’19 will study this summer at the University of Bristol through the program sponsored by the U.S.-U.K. Fulbright Commission. 

Elizabeth Meynardie '17, an elementary education major from Raleigh, N.C., will travel to Taiwan to teach as part of a federal program that builds goodwill between the United States and people of other nations.
