For the second year in a row, ����app�ٷ���վ�� has been named one of the nation’s most “environmentally responsible green colleges” by the Princeton Review, in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council. The annual ranking profiles schools that “demonstrate notable commitments to sustainability in their academic offerings, campus infrastructure, activities and career preparation.

Notable in March and April was media coverage by the Associated Press of the ����app�ٷ���վ�� Poll, faculty scholarship cited by the Huffington Post and mention of ����app�ٷ���վ��'s sustainability efforts by USA Today.

Professor of political science Laura Roselle was featured April 21 in a column in the Huffington Post about the way Libyan officials chose to present their vision for the future of their country.

����app�ٷ���վ��’s Imagining the Internet Center has been named a laureate in the 2011 Computerworld Honors Program. Computerworld Honors, founded in 1998 is the longest running global program to honor individuals and organizations that use information technology to promote positive social, economic and educational change.

The ����app�ٷ���վ�� Institute for Politics and Public Affairs is conducting a health and wellness community survey this month in Alamance County on topics that include: social and wellness concerns, perceived health issues in the county, exercise habits, care giving responsibilities and perceived safety in the county.

The Philanthropy Journal featured the innovative preceptor program of the ����app�ٷ���վ�� School of Law in a Dec. 23 story. Reporter Todd Cohen described the ways that practicing attorneys are sharing their wisdom with Elon Law students.

Technology Review, a publication of MIT, quotes Janna Anderson, associate professor of communications, in a Feb. 18, 2011, article on cloud computing.

Michael Rodriguez, assistant professor of marketing in the Love School of Business, was interviewed on WFMY News 2's Good Morning Show in a segment about Super Bowl ads.
