Abstracts on diverse topics such as sports, neurology, education, geriatrics, leadership & innovation, and orthopaedics were accepted for presentation, with 13 out of the 17 presentations having Elon DPT students as the lead authors/presenters.

ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë students presented at Annual Meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) in ​Atlanta and the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) Annual Conference.

Over 400 APTA members across North Carolina were in attendance at the event in ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë's Francis Center.

The day-long conference highlights emerging research across the interdisciplinary fields of kinesiology, exercise science, rehabilitation sciences and biomedical engineering. 

The Department of Physical Therapy Education once again made its presence felt at the prestigious American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting in February 2025 in Houston with 12 presentations.

The professor of physical therapy education was awarded the Distinguished Scholar Award, ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë top faculty research award, in spring 2024.

ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë students in the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program, Doctor of Physical Therapy program and Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program presented their work at the Global Engagement and Research Forum on Dec. 9 in Alumni Gym.

Second-year DPT students Kaleigh Jenkins, Danielle Essex and Ginny Shafer shared their research findings on Bharatanatyam dancers at the Winston-Salem Dance Medicine Conference.

Elon's Doctor of Physical Therapy program was represented strongly at the Annual Meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine in ​Boston, MA. ​Josie Freeman and Ginny Shafer, second-year DPT students, also won awards at the conference.
