During the last year, ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë graduate Alex Hadden ’13 has worked on a documentary, titled “BRAND: A Second Coming," that features entertainment personality Russell Brand. The film will have its world premiere March 13 at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.

Several ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë graduates earned top honors in the North Carolina Press Association’s 2014 News, Editorial and Photojournalism Contest. The alumni winners, ​led by Kristin Zachary '09 and Scott Muthersbaugh '06, were celebrated at the association's annual Winter Institute Feb. 26.

Students and faculty from ÁñÁ«app¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾Èë's School of Communications placed in several awards categories in the 2015 Broadcast Education Association’s Festival of Media Arts. They will be recognized at the organization's annual conference April 12-15 in Las Vegas.
