Mary Knight-McKenna and Heidi Hollingsworth, associate professors of education, presented at the conferences of the Division for Early Childhood (DEC) of the Council for Exceptional Children, and the North Carolina Infant/Young Child Mental Health Association.

On March 28, 2019, the School of Education will invite Clinical Teachers to campus for a Lunch & Learn. The event will be held in Oaks 212 from noon to 4 p.m.

On April 18, 2019, the School of Education will hold the Kappa Delta Pi induction ceremony in Johnston Hall, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

On Jan. 3, 2019, all special/elementary education student teachers will participate in a Student Teacher Orientation from 8 a.m. to noon in McCoy Commons, Oaks 207.

On Feb. 4, 2019, all general education student teachers will participate in a Student Teacher Orientation session from 8 a.m. to noon in McKinnon Hall E and F.

Now in its 11th year, the program will aid yet another diverse group of faculty in integrating sustainability into academic courses across campus.

Faculty and students from Elon’s elementary education program represented at the N.C. Council of Teachers of Mathematics state conference on Nov. 1 and 2.

The online virtual event will be held Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. via WebEx. 

The N.C. Council for Teachers of Mathematics recognizes outstanding mathematics education students at colleges and universities across the state in an effort to encourage student enjoyment of mathematics and mathematics education.  

Scott Morrison, assistant professor of education, and Jeffrey Carpenter, associate professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program, recently authored several research and practitioner-focused articles.
