2 p.m. – 3 p.m. | Nursing Students Social | Lakeside, 2nd Floor

Students accepted into the Nursing program will meet with the Department Chair and learn more about Nursing at Elon. Students will meet their peer nursing students, enjoy light snacks, and connect with program staff and faculty.

3 p.m. – 4 p.m. | GLC Information Session (hosted by the Gender & LGBTQIA Center| Moseley Student Center, Room 209

Stop by the Gender and LGBTQIA Center in Moseley 209 to learn more about our initiatives.

All new students will be assigned an arrival time. This is the time students should arrive at the Schar Center for check-in. 

8 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Orientation Check-in & Move-in | Schar Center

All new students, first-years and transfers, are assigned a unique time for them to come to campus for their Schar Center Orientation Check-In and to move into their residence hall (if applicable). This time can be found in the student’s Acorn Account. During this centralized check-in experience, students will receive their orientation materials, Phoenix Card, and residence hall key (if applicable).

**1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. ����Elon Bridge Welcome Session (All Elon Bridge students & families) | McKinnon Hall, Moseley Student Center

Join Elon Bridge staff and faculty as they formally welcome you to campus and provide a programmatic overview. For Elon Bridge students and families ONLY.

7:30 a.m. – 8:20 a.m. ����Parent & Family College Coffee  | LaRose Student Commons, courtyard

College Coffee is one of ����app�ٷ���վ�� oldest and most appreciated traditions. Typically, a weekly tradition, this event brings Elon faculty, staff, and students together to build community and develop friendships. Stop by to pick up something to eat and drink on your way to New Student Convocation.

9 a.m. – 10:10 a.m. | New Student Convocation ���� Under the Oaks

Students meet in Koury Athletic Center in Alumni Gym at 8 a.m. Student processional begins at 8:30 a.m. Do not plan to meet your student prior to this event.

Student processional will begin at 8:30am, please be seated at that time. Join President Book, administrators, faculty, and the Student Government Association president as they reflect and offer advice for making the most of the next four years. Attire is business casual. 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. ����Parent & Families meet with academic advisors and Elon 1010 peer educators (for families of students enrolled in Elon 1010) | Your student’s meeting room

Meet with your student’s Academic Advisor, who is also their Elon 1010 instructor. This person will work regularly with your student throughout the semester to construct their Elon experiences plan, register for winter and spring courses, and reflect on the Elon experiences and how they want to engage in them.

10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. ����Transfer Orientation (for families of students not enrolled in Elon 1010) | Koury Business Center, LaRose Theatre

10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. ����Elon Bridge Families meet with the academic coordinator for Alternate Start Programs | McKinnon Hall, Moseley Student Center

Learn how to locate your student’s academic advisor and advising resources as well as get general academic planning questions answered.

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. ����Information Fair for Parents & Families���� Young Commons

12:30-2:00pm | Family Send-off Picnic (Wristbands required for all, students free with meal plan) | West Koury Lawn, West Moseley Lawn, and Martin Alumni Center

Enjoy a taste of Elon Dining as students and families prepare to say goodbye for now! Wristbands are $20.

Students have additional programming that begins at 4:00 p.m. Please ensure your students are back in time for those sessions. Students will continue to have programming all day Sunday, August 23 and Monday, August 24.

Please bring your family and join us for our Elon Jewish Life Welcome Gathering. Come as you are to enjoy food, fun, and Shabbat blessings with ����app�ٷ���վ�� students, families, the Jewish Life team, Chabad, Hillel, and other Jewish campus organizations. We will gather to welcome Shabbat and enjoy a light Glatt Kosher dinner.

Join the Catholic Life team for dinner! Gather with other Catholic new students and families to meet the Associate Chaplain for Catholic Life, Father Peter Tremblay, student leaders, and staff, and to learn more about what CCM has to offer. RSVP at
